Jeff Johnson was inspired to enter the trades by his father, the first minority to complete his local electrician apprenticeship. As a second-generation electrician, Jeff’s journey in the field began in 1987 with Local 439, and after serving as a foreman and superintendent for several companies, he partnered with Josh Cooper to start Ion Electric in 2010. Josh, a skilled union electrician, first met Jeff in 2000 on the jobsite during his apprenticeship. Nearly three decades later, this duo still executes electric service projects with precision and skill.

As a signatory NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) contractor, Ion employs a 100% union workforce, ensuring that all electricians have completed rigorous apprenticeship programs recognized by the Department of Labor.
